Very questionable charge call on Jones there. Looked like a block on Cherry.

A&M has zero guard play outside of Carter. Going to be a major struggle for them with Carter out moving forward. I thought Wells normally shot decently.

LSU wins 57-54 final score

A&M was 5-25 from the field in the 2nd half

A&M's guards outside of Carter were 2-21.

The questionable thing for A&M is they shot a bunch of jumpers from outside the final 2 minutes instead of going back to the post, which carried the team.

What in the world happened to Kayla Wells? She was a great shooter last year. Nearly MIA this year.

Wells and Wilson both had some very good looks near the free throw line but none could may any type of shot whatsoever.

A&M isn't a bad team but Carter is what makes that team click and go. Without her its a completely different team, fringe top 25 maybe. They are in for a test traveling to Kentucky.

Also, maybe its just me but I thought Blair screwed his team with calling a timeout after they had a fast break chance with numbers in the final minute. Not sure what his line of thinking but they had numbers on us and his timeout allowed LSU to get set defensively. They likely had an easy layup.

LSU and A&M seem to always play close no matter the teams every year. This one was no different.

When he did that I was shocked. Never saw a coach call a timeout in that situation. Commentators barely mentioned it.

They can probably play better without Carter when they are expecting it, but she's so much their game plan gonna be tough to do it in a game situation.

If that's an extended injury it will probably cook their chances.
