Lou and Kaleena 💙💙

It's easy to forget how tall Lou is. She looks at least 2" taller than Kaleena in this pic. It's hard to imagine she couldn't have a solid career in the W with her size and quickness and that perimeter shot.
With the exception of Paige, the Wings couldn’t see water if they fell off a boat.

Kaleena is probably one of the most underrated huskies in the history of the program.
The problem with UConn is every player they have is a great player, even the ones who sit the bench. If you aren't a complete player at both ends of the floor you slip into the "good" player level at UConn. Kaleena was a great shooter but on defense she didn't stand out and she also played on teams with incredible players. I did love to watch her shoot though.

Lou had the misfortune of playing on an injury riddled team. No UConn player was pounded on more than her. Wish we had her for 4 years.
Recent memory bias. After Sue et al graduated and Dee was the primary offensive threat, she got absolutely hammered by opponents on every possession. Truth be told, she often gave as much as she received.

KML appears to have trimmed down and come out of retirement. She looks good in the videos I've seen.

Kaleena was a smooth shooter with really good form, I would love to see her, Azzi and Paige in a three point contest I'd sell tickets for tht and put members from the Boneyard ( who can all get in for free) in the floor seats...Press Row, just to read their takes on the exhibition.

P.S......I think Azzi would take em lol.

However, I still want KML to take the trail 3 pt shot to break the opponent's back and put the game away. She has ice in her veins when the game is on the line. For me, she is the all time best overall 3 pt shooter at UConn when you combine her shot, her ability to make them when necessary, her percentage, and just the volume of makes over a 4 year period. She was durable and rarely hurt for long periods of time.

Kaleena certainly showed up when we played South Carolina 😎

How about comparing treys when the points counted in a real game? Whom would you give the last shot to?
Sadly, my recurring memory of KML is an uncontested three she missed in the final seconds of a 1 point loss to ND. But she was a great shooter with wonderful form and made many more than she missed. And a very nice young woman.
Thanks to all the great players who have enriched our lives for many years: we are grateful and we love you.
