Creighton lost to DePaul last night moving Providence to within 1.5 games of Creighton, 1 in the loss column. If Providence can win at Creighton this weekend, then even if St Johns can move on from last night and beat ‘Nova on Saturday, a 1 seed in the Big East tournament is very much in play.

Think I prefer the 2 seed, as I’d like to avoid Providence as they played us tough both games. Nova is tiny, I’d rather play them. Go Creighton.

tbh, does it really matter? UConn and St John’s are both good enough that if they lose before the finals, it’s because they looked too far ahead and lost the game mentally

I don’t care who we get in the first game and I dont care if we get Villanova or Seton Hall in the second game. If we lose either of those games, we clearly weren’t ready to win the BET regardless

There are pluses and minuses to the scenarios - this team or that team ...

The bottom line is UConn can't control those, but UConn just needs to play with intensity each game and it doesn't matter who the opponent will be.

I agree I don't want to play them, but we can't assume where Providence will land. Even if they beat Creighton, they can easily lose to Marquette or Georgetown.

It matters to me solely because a 1 seed in the Big East Tournament means we won the Big East regular season. I know when two teams tie record wise they're technically co-champions, but the 1 seed just makes it feel more legit to me.

If DePaul wins out they’d be the 5 in this scenario but requires a win against nova.

Due to work issues ( will still figure out how to watch) the 2 seed is fine with me as it just takes that issue off the table by playing in the evening. Just win last two. I have a feeling St Johns may lose another anyway and I will need to figure out my plan to view the game during work hours. Its just hard because the following week Thursday and Friday become an issue even if we are a night game with NCAA starting. My profession does not lend itself to time off during this time of year. Another reason retirement cant come soon enough.

I was looking at their perspective schedules and had written this off as unlikely to happen. Fingers crossed I guess.

I wouldn't mind a regular season championship.

We have a deficit mentality when it comes to this team. Why do we assume that we are the only ones who might slip and lose to a lesser seed in the BET?
St John's could very well lose to- Nova, PC (again), Marquette ....Xavier.

Why do we assume they are already in the finals but we have to get a favorable path?????
