Just sick of losing. and losing.

We got to find ways to win

Agree 100%. That final drive came down to culture. An offense who is used to scoring and winning scores and wins.

I agree ... but for the first time in a while I found myself excited ... cheering out loud and yelling positive things instead of angry curses..... talking about the second half of coarse. I really liked Edsall's decision to go for 3 early on. It was a level headed decision which gave us a real shot of going into OT or winning the game. I also noticed some serious adjustments in taking Bell out and we are starting to see more talent pop up. That new WR Donaldson is a beast, Mensah is going to be really good. Edsall needs to push his will more on the Defensive side which I think we were starting to see more of in the second half of the game.

Did we lose on a missed field goal? I have been traveling all day. If so, was it windy or.....something?

Yes. We were down 41-21 and lost 41-38 on a missed 30 yd FG at the gun. I wish it was windy I would have not sweated to death. Tarbutt kicked it scared

I have hope for the offense going forward the defense is another subject.

Got a good sun tan today and lost 10 pounds of sweat.

The consolation is that in general through 3 games our O hasn't been putrid. D, on the other hand, specifically pass D is horrendous. Can't defend the pass in the flat which has been the most consistent problem. Getting beat deep happens. Heck, even Sherrifs had a wide open receiver for a TD on the first possession but over threw. Had two balls dropped, the second became intercepted and led to a TD. Still, an entertaining game, which is a step in a positive direction.

Edsall will fix the D. Even if he has to take full control. There were clearly adjustments with players who looked far more hungry in the 4th quarter and much like taking out the QB in game one and today taking Bell out (who from what I've heard has a really high upside .. but is a huge liability as of late)

Also not sure if anyone heard the story on Donaldson, a walk-on like Easley but with 3 more years left... Edsall plays the best players. We need to see how this team responds vs. SMU. I fully expect to get lit up the next two games but then we settle back in with games we should at least compete in.

Look, they put themselves in position to tie and the kid missed the kick. They did a lot right down the stretch of that game to get it to that point.

But you are right in that they have to learn how to win. Not getting far behind every game is a start.

Between the Huskies and the Giants, I have several new lumps on my head. And my walls look like crap.

I like my teams, win or lose. I spent exactly 50 years as a Chicago Cubs fan before they won last year. So I'll support UConn no matter what. After all, we can't change where we graduated from, right?

I just don't want to see us become the Chicago Cubs of FBS, the "lovable losers".
