Right because those achievements have been so helpful for you so far.No need. When you have achievements, you don't need to buy a name to cover up the lack of them.

You bought it because you needed the credibility. We bought that because you guys needed money.
Absolutely true and you let us buy it because of the money. You bought it because you needed the credibility.
I'd say so...Right because those achievements have been so helpful for you so far.
That may have been the case at one time, but I think based upon both the teams RPI's the last 3 years playing a home and home would no longer hurt UConn and in fact it would help. Your home schedule this year is abysmal I'm sure the season ticket holders can't be happy. PC would at least put fannies in the seats which is a big part of the $ equation for every program. As Mick said at Altamont "people, people why are we fighting?" Three pages on Kris Dunn's recruitment? Truly the dog days of summer. FriarJ , you know why UConn won't schedule PC. Everyone on this board knows why. BecausePC has more to gain playing that game then UConn does so UConn won't schedule it. That's the way it works in college sports. It happened to UConn all the time when they started getting good under Calhoun. So, you can complain about the lack of a UConn-PC game but until it benefits both teams (meaning you guys have to do some damage during March Madness first) your complaint will fall on deaf ears.
Yeah, not seeing PC as a particularly big draw. That may have been the case at one time, but I think based upon both the teams RPI's the last 3 years playing a home and home would no longer hurt UConn and in fact it would help. Not really. We are still in the same conference in which we earned all of those trophies. You realize that you are in a start up conference right?Well they got you into the AAC so that's something I guess.
I'm sure you are right, I mean we are no Tulane, ECU, Tulsa, Wagner, South Florida, Central Florida or Northern Florida. What happened did Eastern Florida not want to travel to Storrs?Yeah, not seeing PC as a particularly big draw.
Congrats on that achievement. Not really. We are still in the same conference in which we earned all of those trophies. You realize that you are in a start up conference right?
Nah, you are just another New England program trying to hold on to past successes that few actually remember. Pretty much the same as scheduling Holy Cross or UMass. I suspect the vast majority of people aren't sure if PC is a branch campus of URI.I'm sure you are right, I mean we are no Tulane, ECU, Tulsa, Wagner, South Florida, Central Florida or Northern Florida. Which of the 21 national championships are you referring to? Or are you referring to all of them?Congrats on that achievement.
Everything in in the past. Yesterday is in the past. The present and the future are all that matters and why UConn is fighting tooth in nail to eradicate themselves from the mess they are in.Nah, you are just another New England program trying to hold on to past successes that few actually remember. I can see why you'd be reluctant to put any weight on a history of success, that's not a metric PC does well in. Much better to hope that "this year is going to be the year" when it all comes together. I'm not sure that rest of college sports feels that way though.Everything in in the past. Hard to disagree with that Ollie is outstanding, you are fortunate to have him.I see Kevin Ollie as a great transition from a legendary coach. How often has that happened in the last 30 years? Even with the CR mess we find ourselves in ... we are still fighting at a level that WE can win a National Championship in a given year. EVIDENCE? I don't think 2014 is really past history when this is the topic; that excellent run through March Madness is eminently relevant.
These comments on my part have had to do with scheduling. I'm being realistic in regards to UConn and PC playing, you are being a piece of . It's hard to have a serious back and forth when you just want to flame.I can see why you'd be reluctant to put any weight on a history of success, that's not a metric PC does well in. Go back reread the posts, realize that you are a guest on a UConn board, and rethink who is flaming. These comments on my part have had to do with scheduling. Whatever you know exactly what I'm talking about. You took this here all on your own. You have a problem with PC and or me not the other way around. It's amazing the number of UConn fans that absorbed JC's thin skin.Go back reread the posts, realize that you are a guest on a UConn board, and rethink who is flaming.
You are a decent guest typically, but coming on the board to talk crap about UConn isn't going to be well received, particularly while the Big 12 expansion is still up in the air.
