First I didn't even know that Deadspin was back until I accidentally found it again. Not as good as before but liked this article. Uconn 2004 made the top 12. Many other choices had multiple sports on there but we were loaded with Men's and Women's basketball. I would add Dan Orlovsky for football.

Across sports, UConn 2011 is the choice.

Kemba, Bazz, Lamb (and Drummond a few months away since they somehow count Rudy Gay a few months away in ‘04). Maya Moore in women’s hoops.

And that was the year of an absolutely loaded baseball team: George Springer is a World Series MVP and perennial All-Star. Nick Ahmad has multiple Gold Gloves. Plus Byron Jones, the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL, was a freshman on the football team.
