- We open with a wide open three from Solo, followed by a downhill slide of missed shots dropped rebounds and unforced errors that left us trailing 3-7.
- That was followed by two minutes of ineptitude on the part of both teams. Still 3-7 at first timeout.
- Timeout end is followed by a quick Karaban three.
- Our rebounding seems off. At both ends.
- Half way through the 1st half, we're down 14-17
- Our first lead since it was 3-zip, comes off a Mullins' 3, at 9:07.
- No sooner do we get a lead than the officials call two shooting fouls in a row to hand the lead back to the fryers.
- Alex gets the lead back at the 8 minute mark.
- Apparently, we're not allowed to play defense in the paint.
- The last few minutes of the first half were sickening.
- At the half, Ptown is 8 for 8 from the line. We, on the other hand, have not taken a single foul shot.
- 3 pointers at the half we're 9 of 16. Ptown 7 of 12.
- I can't recall Reed ever shooting bunnies so poorly. Then again, I can't recall him being mauled in the paint with no whistles to be heard, either.
- Hurley picked up a T at half time. For pointing out the foul discrepancy? I don't know. I had the sound off.
- We get the deficit down to single digits at 17:08 of the 2nd half.
- And it's back above 10, two minutes later.
- Down to 6 at 13:38
- Reed really picked up his rebounding effort in 2nd half. Did the "adjustment" in officiating have anything to do with that? You be the judge.
- Deficit down to 5 off Demary's 3 at 11:31
- Deficit is back to 11 at 10:00
- At this point, Stewart having a very rough night. Why hasn't Solo seen any time to speak of?
- Complete WTF foul call at 7:56
- Deficit back down to an 8 point hole at 7:15
- Deficit 4 point hole at 2 minutes
- Deficit 2 points at 1:30
- Tie game at 12 seconds!
- Mullins draws first blood to start OT.
- 96-92@3:09
- Lead down to 1 at 2:05.
- And Mullins gets it back up to 4 with another 3 pointer!
- Under a minute, it's 101-95
- 103-98 final!!! What a game!
- I had trouble making my mind up between Demary and Mullins as my choice for POG. But in the end, I have to give it to Silas... 41min; 23pts on 63% from the floor (66% on 3s); 5 of 5 FTs; 15 dimes; 5 steals; 1 turnover.
- The two teams attempted 56 three pointers between them, and both teams actually shot a substantially better percentage from 3 than from 2!
- To me, three columns in the box score (assists 25 to 15, turnovers 12 to 17 & steals 11 to 4) really tell the story of this game.
