Only explanation for why we never got involved was that he made it clear he didn’t wanna stay in state cause otherwise he woulda been the ideal backup for bundalo.

Nope, that isn't at all what happened.

Obviously. The question was why? Why not have a plan B for bundalo when London seems to be the ideal plan B
Because they didn't want him. It certainly wasn't because he told them he didn't want to play at UConn.

K so you don’t know why they didn’t bother recruiting him even as a backup plan

As we've discussed a bunch lately there are many reasons why UConn decides not to recruit a player. Like with Dybantsa. People are saying it was all because of NIL demands and the father but there could be other reasons. With Jemison I always thought maybe it was because of the existing roster construction.

Is Bundalo the only 4 that UConn has a current offer on the table? I thought so, but wasn’t sure.

Cool flex, appreciate the intel. Funny thing is I was agreeing with your sentiment
He's not even a power forward, he's a wing. My guess is Hurley and staff are very happy with the wings we already have. It's why they aren't really recruiting any wings. Jemison wanted a UConn offer.

Thanks. He’s ~6’8 and I’ve seen him listed as a PF but I agree I prefer both Adams and Mullins for wings

He’s commonly listed as a PF, but he’s really slight, under 200 pounds. I don’t see him right now as a guy that can grab tons of boards in traffic or defend bigger 4s in the paint or on the block.

Good point. Our projected bench for next year is also really solid with Adams (presumably), Ross, Abraham, Singare, but we could use a guy or two that can start if Stew goes pro ie Mullins and/or Bundalo. If we miss on them I’ll take a starter from the portal over London.

A big forward that can rebound and guard big forwards would be more useful than another perimeter guy that is more comfortable out by the three point line.

He was also ranked over 100 before we won the 2nd title. And when that happened, Hurley and co decided to go big game fishing.
