National top 20 Capital Prep routed Nazareth of NYC 90-39. Sadie played there for a year or two and Butler [nice player on Syracuse] also went there. It was Apache's team. They lost to Breanna's Cicero team in the NYS Federation finals in Stewie'senior year. This loss makes them 5-15....yikes! Talk about a fall from the elite.

Cap Prep has gone out of its way to play out-of-state teams...props to them. It will be interesting to see if Maryland bound Gillepsie plays as a frosh down there...and if junior Elmore cracks the 'Cuse rotation as a frosh 2 years from now.

Everybody is beating Nazareth this year. At 5-15 they are no longer the power they were under the late Apache Paschall and after they almost closed down three years ago. And of course they no longer have Baylor's star junior PG Niya Johnson running the show like they did when they were one of the of the top teams in the country.

Capital has a very good team but playing out of state teams is not a good thing for other schools in their class. Farmington is 20-0 this year. Because Capital has only played 19 games they have dropped down to the No. 4 seed in Class L unless they make up their cancelled game against another NY school. Clearly they are one of the top two schools in Class L. Its just a shame that they will have to play Farmington if they both advance that far in the SF's instead of playing each other in the finals at the Mohegan Sun. Should be an interesting CIAC Tournament coming up. There are a lot of very good high school girls teams. South Windsor is undefeated in Class LL. Morgan is undefeated in Class M.
