Why must the uniform jerseys of the LLWS teams show the district? Put the state that is being represented, as ESPN does on its telecast scoreboard. Fairfield identifies with Connecticut, not “Metro”. Sioux Falls identifies with South Dakota, not “Midwest”. Las Vegas identifies with Nevada, not “Mountain”.
I understand that Connecticut may not put “New England” on the uniform since it and Rhode Island were ripped away from the New England district to join NY and NJ, further diluting the NE district in order to increase the LLWS from 16 to 20 teams (sound familiar, March Madness)?
But “Metro”? Isn’t that a subway system in Paris or DC?
