And there's the complaint about the tie.

He spent 4-5 minutes talking up uconn's student and faculty support, the championship tradition, the academics, the conference, and now the team and staff.

He's genuinely excited to be the coach. And he's already pushing tickets.

I'm in love. Screw cautiously optimistic, I expect ten win seasons within a 2-3 years.

He has to talk up the conference. Strength of schedule is important moving forward. Must change the perception. It does us no good for our staff to dump on the conference, how do you recruit players to your team when you dump in the conference?! You can't without being an obvious lying hypocrite.

Listening to him, I really notice how very hard this press conference must be. He's had a very short time to try to digest a huge volume of facts and information about the school and area and now spit it back out to people who know it quite a bit better than he does. He's doing pretty well under the circumstances.
