For those seeing a little green dog ear in the top left corner of an avatar - It's on online indicator. If the corner is green, the person is currently online.

Why? A better question is, why not?

If you are replying to a post, and you don't see the green dog ear on the avatar, the person is not online, and you have plenty of time to think about your reply before you hit "post reply." I realize pausing to think about a post is foreign to most people, but now you have a reason!

Bottom line - the recent script upgrade has a few new features that will be rolled out slowly. If you have any serious feature request, let me know.

This may be possible because the site remembers what you have already read the last time and it takes you to the new messages.
Would it be possible to delete a topic you don't want to follow?
Would it be possible to autocorrect spelling, anticipate and suggest next words like many smart phones do?

That's not a feature I am capable of writing, but my guess is it'll be part of a future xenforo update. Are you suggesting something similar to what reddit has - "hide?"

Better yet, how about a quick required 10th grade level IQ test before creating an account. We'd lose half of our posters and keep the better half.

Ah, the separatist post. IQ has nothing to do with the emotional toxic waste dumped in this river.

A pop-up message that reads, "You are being ignored by __ people," every time you hit Post Reply? Probably need to establish a minimum number to qualify.
Or an Ignored counter beneath Messages and Likes Received.
Or, simply, an "Unpopular Poster' designation.

'Quite frankly,' thanks for all you do, and thanks for asking.

There are probably add-ons for this for various browsers. For instance, I have a spellchecker for Firefox that gives the red squiggly line for misspelled words. But it seems unnecessary to me to have autocomplete if you type at a decent speed. On phones, it can take a while to type long words.

Oof. Now you guys are going to know just how much time I waste on here.

The politically correct way would for a perpetual popup message to say:

"There has been an error, please retype your message and hit reply"

"There has been an error, please retype your message on a different bulletin board and hit reply You will now be disconnected from the server."

Thanks for all you do managing this, Tom.

I never log out.

Between my smartphone, work computer , and personal computer I basically don't either.

It's a huge pet peeve of mine that this site doesn't have an icon for the bookmark. It's annoying to me that it's the only site on my bookmarks bar that is just a blank page.

when will we be able to post gifs

Every time I allow gifs, I get complaint. They are annoying, and cause false alerts on north, Macafee, etc.

You can still post gifs, but they won't autorun.

I thought it strips the extension though? Or at least it did? Or am I mistaken?
