Team USA needs to do a better job on defensive boards. Too many 2nd chance opportunities for Brazil. Lets hope Alaina Coates is able to stay out of foul trouble in 2nd half. Only played 10 minutes.

Bluder got smart- shatori in, Stewie with 20 pts LEAD FOR UA BACK TO 7. GREAT DEFENSE BY Moriah..... KIMBROUGH WALKER PLAYING GREAT TOO. The defense tightening up. Stewie and Mo looked tired. Better team defense with Reimer on bench. C Williams cant throw the ball in the ocean. Announcer called Moriah "a pretty savvy point guard" I'd say so !!!!

After a shaky start to the 3rd quarter, Brazil only outscored USA by 1 point in the quarter.

I feel like USA is missing a spot up shooter. Several times MoJeff brought the ball down the floor and you could see her looking at the wings for shooters a la KML.

This game is super physical but most of these teams in the Pan Am games are their respected countries senior national teams. That makes a difference.

A bit of a gift missed shot clock violation gives Taya Reimer the bucket, and the US the needed momentum to put the game away. I accept this gift gladly, because the refs' allowance of all that physicality was a gift to Brazil all game.
