Honestly hard to believe these were set before June 2019...

I thought the deal with the BE when UConn joined is that we'd be in only 1 of the 2? Now neither?

I think he's just blindly speculating. He implied we wouldn't be in either year 2 as well

Bfield > Borges

The rumor I just heard from my guy is that UConn will be hosting a Big Ten team in the Gavitt Games.

I believe we are out of the Never Forget Classic. Not sure if that will be just a buy game, or a potential game against an American team as part of the exit deal. Wouldn't mind hosting Houston or Memphis this year.

Hope we don't have to wait too long. The Gavitt Games was signed as an 8 year deal that ends in 2022.

BE better arrange another conference challenge or extend Gavitt games after 2022. challenges are by far the easiest way to get quality OOCs on the schedule. when does the big12 challenge end?

the aac H/H is actually starting to look like a highlight of the OOC schedule now...

that is ironically funny

The Commissioner isn't showing much leadership if she's worried about upsetting the 10 members we're joining. Her job should be to highlight the best of the league so the league's ranking is as high as possible. Even forgetting us, Seton Hall should be in over Georgetown and Providence.

Wonder if Seton Hall asked to be excluded this year. This is year 6 and every team has now been left out of the field at least once except for Creighton (and Seton Hall twice now)

I wouldn't worry about her, Val Ackerman is an excellent Commissioner.

You are really questioning the leadership of the commissioner....

(1) that got the C7 past realignment successfully
(2) then Extended the MSG contract and locked out everyone else
(3) and finally, added UConn back to the league

cmon now! I'm sure she knows what she is doing

Sometimes you pay a price in politics. Usually better than the alternative (not getting into the ACC).

I want to make sure we can handle Big East scheduling before I worry about playing in these interconference challenges

coming in between 3rd and 5th place in the BE next season is handling it

The reality is that the AAC departure games are a substitute. I am fine playing a top flight AAC teams the next couple of years rather than the Big 12. UConn also has a preference for playing Big 10 over Big 12.

We are new to the league I don’t think it’s too much of a big deal to have to wait our turn. People are almost act as if the sky is falling over this...let’s keep things in perspective. We are going to play plenty of quality games and we will still be able to schedule well enough out of conference
