4 teams in the top 25 is getting this conference some attention. They key is keeping that momentum over the next couple years...
With that, the real challenge will be keeping some of these coaches. P5 opportunities will always pop up. That money disparity will make those opportunities difficult to pass up.
You already hear rhule and fuentes mentioned. If Diaco has some success, it will be tough to keep him as well.
Regardless, you have to like the trajectory of this league based on the season so far.

The AAC is far better than expected.

The computers have us ranked as the #6 conference, which is no surprise. But the last ranking I saw had us closer to #5 (ACC) than #7 (MAC), which is a mild surprise.

Unfortunately, the in-conference play ahead will force losses on 2 of the 3 . Temple, Memphis and Houston must play each other. I think Memphis probably is the most capable of the bunch with ability to score and still play some D.

Houston and Temple don't play each other in the regular season. In a very unlikely perfect world they both win out and play for the conference championship. I think they would both be ranked high enough to have them both finish in the top 20-25.

Memphis has the toughest road playing Temple and Houston, back to back, away from home.

I like our chances with Houston as they play Cincy and Memphis, at home and back to back before coming to a probably chilly day at the PAWS-ARF. Throw in the week off we have before the Houston game I hope we continue to improve and have a real shot of stealing the game due to Houston being beat up, having a let down and cold.

Give me a cold breezy night game for Houston. A cold drizzle would be a bonus. Who cares if no one shows up. We'll be there.

Right- was thinking the Conf championship as where they meet. Houston is not a great match up for us, so let's hope it's a nice cold sub freezing ice rain.
