Point taken but that is the hope.  Getting 4 to 5 programs really humming and becoming a regular 4 to 5 bid conference.  We need that many coaches to commit and get going in this conference at the same time and. The good thing is that we are getting there.  The whole Power 6 brand could be a real thing with this conference at some point and time.  There are no guarantees but I think with UCONN football falling off a cliff and UCONN basketball in complete rebuild mode our only shot is for us to do our part in sustaining the conference and taking it to the next level.  We really haven’t done that in the two big sports that matter.  Conference leadership was banking on UCONN holding up it’s end of the deal and we’ve simply failed.  In other words UCONN falling off of the map was not built into the cake.

What’s left is legacy, hope and we need a few things to fall in place.  A strong league is good for UCONN so we have to do what we can to support that in both sports of football and basketball.  Let’s take care of our business.  Hurley, Edsall is a great start meaning we’ve hit bottom and will start rising in time.
