One of the difficulties is trying to compare different situations. And maturity levels. Hilton Armstrong the senior was way better than Hilton the sophomore and nobody would’ve moaned a lot if he’d had a transfer portal to jump into after his first year. Too many kids jumping at the first chance to getaway from not being the one. Too broad a generalization, I know, but the sheer size of the transfer numbers when you consider is triple the size of the number of D1 programs. Granted grad transfers are sort of a different situation. Even the idea of a grad student having eligibility is a fairly modern invention.It's a fair take. Just clips of both. But....the whole premise of this thread is that Newton is so good that this is a "good trade". There's no evidence of that whatsoever. Can't possibly evaluate this until you see what Floyd and Diggins become and what Akok does when he gets a fair chance.
