coming across a 40 year old zebra with arthritis.

I don't think there is anything good that can come from this game even if every UConn player scores 20 points, grabs 10 rebounds, etc., etc..

Good chance for the subs to get some minutes. That's about it.

Geno has a bad cold and wishes he was home in bed.

This was such an unsatisfying game. FDU was going to be way overmatched, anyway, but to have two of their starters out, made the game difficult to watch. And CD is right, UConn played down to the really low level of their opponents. When I could bear to look, I saw Brianna Banks making some nic edrives. Heather Buck played aggressively and made some good plays. Kiah Stokes played good defense for quite a while, but boy does she have to watch those bunnies under the net. Other than that, not much out of the ordinary from any of the troops. Against FDU, that's not a step forward.

I haven't seen Geno look so glum on the bench since the pre-Maya slow stretch.

He looked pretty under the weather during his show.

Just read his comments on ESPN. He thinks the 6,000 who came should get a refund. We barely outscored them in the second half. Of course, it is hard to play when you are up by 40, makes for another kind of pressure, that's for sure.

I don't know why they schedule games like this!

They did not schedule FDU. They agreed to host this tournament, and all the non UConn schools asked in. UConn has no control over their opponents in these tournaments.

He completely disengaged. Probably thinking about how far back this game would put the team in their development.
