Liberty @ Wings - 9/03/17

Laimbeer starts resting his starters half way through the 1st, allowing the Wings to overcome an early ten point Liberty lead, and then sits them some more until the Wings take a four point lead. Terrible bench management by Bill.

That walk called on Powers has to be one of the worst ever. Can anyone find a travel on that play?

I really enjoy watching Tina Charles play, she has a lot of moves and has even brought the ball up the court a few times, it’s like she improves every season.

Tina Charles is 3/13 on shots and is now on the bench with 3 personal fouls. Sugar still can't hit the broad side of a barn. Hartley and Stokes playing off of one another very well right now, and are the only reason the Liberty are still in this one near the end of the third.

New York (Sugar) mishandles an inbound pass with 3 seconds left to turn it over, but Skylar missed a jumper at the buzzer. New York wins their 10th in a row and secures 3rd in the playoff picture. Tina's shooting was off a little, but she finished with 18 and 18. Stud!

Do you think that the possibility that her rebounding record might be going down today inspired Tina to put extra effort into rebounding today?

Big 4th quarter for Tina as she wills her team to a one-point win!

One thing I noticed in the final frame is that the Liberty guards are sometimes picking up their dribble too early in half-court sets, out beyond the three-point line and before they have a pass locked in. Hartley did this on two consecutive possessions, causing two broken plays and two stops for the Wings. And another guard did it again a little later on. I hope the coaching staff are seeing this.
