Liam McNeeley Practice Highlights

Starting in college basketball doesn't mean as much as 'starting' in other sports. I know, we all know this, but it makes it completely possible for Hass to start.
Also, it's not like we give up big runs or fail to score when he's out there-it's the opposite. There is no liability to that dudes game.

Either way, we're in good shape. This staff has no loyalty when it comes to lineups.

I have my suspicions that the videos they are releasing this week are not random. Mahaney, McNeeley, Stewart, ?, Johnson. If Karaban gets highlights tomorrow...

I noticed they are not alphabetical. Something is definitely fishy.

It's entirely possible these five start.

It's also entirely possible a different five start.
Picking nits, but I don't see any scenario where AK is healthy and doesn't start.

With some reps over at my driveway hoop he should be solid.. lol..dude can ball

Who Hurley puts in for the last five minutes is way more important than who Hurley puts in for the first five minutes.

A few years back Hurley started Sanogo and often those were the only minutes he played the whole game. But it was a great way to accelerate his development.

However, I expect Diarra to start because he understands the offense. In fact I expect most of the starters to be returners for the same reason. Also starting Diarra sends the message that you have to play defense if you want to see the floor.

We have too many players I want to start. I want Stew, AK, Liam, Diarra, Mahaney, SJ, and Reed to start.

I know they’re highlights, but all the handles he showed off make me think starting shooting guard.
He looks like a bigger version of Cam Spencer. He could absolutely play the 2 in a big lineup alongside Stewart and Karaban. The depth and versatility of this team, especially on offense, is going to make it hard for opponents to match up.

Unlike last year's team where we had our base lineup and fairly straightforward substitutions, and we just brutalized opponents by running different variations of the same actions, the coaches will be able to dial up many different looks (and may have to). An interesting challenge.

i'm talking about probability not possibility and mahaney is the most likely to start after AK

Wow! Looking really good!
Really like the cross court passes from him in this video. Looks like he’s got great court awareness & vision, in addition to his shooting and handle. Liam’s going to fit in great with our system! This team will be loaded and real fun to watch again next year.

I'm still going with the idea that Dan Hurley is always innovating. There won't be a single starting lineup; instead he'll juggle lineups each game based on the opponent and run full on hockey-style lineup changes to totally freak with other teams' game planning.

they'll definitely run a few different looks this year. the personnel and depth is there for it.
