Liam McNeeley lands a shoe deal - and a rookie honor

That's good news, only about half on the non lottery first round picks get a shoe deal.

It means that Nike has confidence with him and their brand.

It could mean that they see a long term career player and are getting him early. This is all speculative of course, but I'm guessing it's a very positive sign, not to mention a couple extra millions in his bank account

believe it or not, the Hornets new GM and HC are actually building something this time around. Its not like in years past.
tbd at this point, their first draft selection was Salaun at 6 last year and it was considered a reach at the time and he was flatout horrible last year.

I texted my son who lives in Charlotte a picture of the Hornets championship jersey. The thread:

I must be too old for the internet because I can’t figure out how to laugh uncontrollably at this

I always see this sentiment on here but is there another example besides Bouknight? Isn’t Kemba considered basically the GOAT of the franchise? And didn’t Emeka win ROTY there and get propped up as their franchise player in his first contract?

I think it’s more to do with the talent surrounding those dudes. They wasted their prime years with an apathetic franchise.

Ben Gordon Flamed out there too.

I'll believe it when I see it. Too much bad history with the Ownership for it to turn on a dime.

Jordan sold most of his share of the team 2 years ago. The ownership has changed, for the most part.
