Williams visited UConn the same weekend Gordon did in January.

bags27 - Yes... it is most definitely the case

UConn wbb players are not allowed to post on Twitter starting the 1st day of team practices through the last game of season.

Interesting twist... they are apparently allowed to post on Instagram

Thanks, CoachBill. My gut tells me all the social media stuff for high school recruits does more bad than good. But I guess these kids don't worry about the public exposure of their private decision-making the way we did/do.

Coach Bill,
I couldn't help noticing Danielle Cosgrove was at the Final Four and that she had a photo taken with Sue Bird. Can you update us on her progress and status in terms of offers? She looks the part on video. Thank you.
Emblem , I didn't notice Cosgrove at the FF , but glad you did.........I too would be interested in what The Coach has to say about her. Thanks.

I don't know exactly why, but twitter seems to be the platform on which the most really bad 'gaffs' are made. Not that Facebook, Instagram and others haven't had their moments, but twitter seems to be the favorite when someone wants to really put themselves in hot water!

I think maybe the concept of banning any one outlet is a way of emphasizing the importance of being circumspect on all social media during the season. A 'heads up' this is a time to be serious and very careful about what you say.

As any parent of a high school student will tell you, completely shutting down social media today is a near impossibility......that said. I would think any responsible parent would make very clear what is appropriate, especially when the student has a higher profile. Of course, judging by what I have seen, that apparently is not universally practiced.
