Bill: as you undoubtedly know we would love to hear any future info you care to post about Lexi.
Following her next year with her high school team is already a must.
Have you seen her play enough to give us a player comparison...with someone we would know?

blakeon18 - no prob .. I will definitely look to share thoughts moving forward.

for Evaluation thoughts, as for an extensive one... I would prefer to wait a bit. I would like to see her in person once or twice more against the Nike EYBL competition. the first leg of that will be in a couple weeks in Hampton, VA
I am hoping / expecting to be there. Will come back with thoughts. But from my viewing to this point, it seems accurate to suggest that at minimal she should be an Impact "Sniper" with a Quick release and obvious legit Wing size. She also brings a level of Toughness, Physicality in the lane...
( Drives, playing through contact, Rebounding, even Posting up some. ) .
On the high end, I can envision her being versatile, 3 level scorer.
I would like to see some mor eof her in person, to evaluate her Defensive capacity, potential... i know in talking with her a bunch prior, she has the "mental appetite" to be a good defender. I also know she already welcomes taking Charges, getting on floor for loose balls, etc. But need to assess her capacity to slide feet vs D1 talented caliber kids

Her distinguishable energy, personality also shows itself on the court

I have developed a good rapport with her parents. ( Quality people ! )
Even they remark how fascinating it is how popular Lexi is amongst other players around the country. Lexi certainly provides an infectious Personality, Energy.
She seems eager to try be a "ring leader" of sorts with future UConn recruiting.

Bill: I assume that is The Boo that you are hoping to attend.
In a very short time you have become a must-read...please keep the posts coming. On Lexi for sure and anyone else you see
for that matter. We need wisdom here....and not our usual blabber [lol]

Looking forward to anything you have to say.

Coach Bill,
I couldn't help noticing Danielle Cosgrove was at the Final Four and that she had a photo taken with Sue Bird. Can you update us on her progress and status in terms of offers? She looks the part on video. Thank you.

Coach Bill - please give us a write up of every player that might be of any interest to our coaching staff that you may catch a glimpse of.

(Thought I should get in on the action here!)

And yes - love all the information you have been bringing to the board. Thank you.

Coach Bill, I join blakeon18's request that you continue posting updates on Lexi, and providing us with "fresh" fodder whenever its possible. We would greatly appreciate it. As blake said, you've become must read in a very short time.

Of course we all hope that Lexi follows through on her desire to be a "ring leader" of sorts. It would be wonderful if she could persuade some of her friends to join her at UConn.

Thanks again, We look forward to hearing from you.

Lexi and Christyn Williams are friendly and based on what I have read plus what she herself posts on her twitter page, Christyn Williams has a serious UConn crush....I would be very surprised if she lands anywhere else but Storrs...........

If Lexi has the type of personality that makes other kids want to play with her, that sure sounds like one Kaleena M. Lewis. I hope Lexi pulls in a bunch of good players for us.

I was told that it wasn't Lexi who had 7 threes, it was Ana Llanusa

Before this kid get to UCONN (it will be in 1 year and 5 months approx), I want to see her make Team USA for whatever age group she tries out for. Hunter made it last year and was a starter. Lexi paid her own way because she was unknown and not invited, and was one of the "last 4 out" as they say. I think she has a great shot to make it this time around. I'm not "that" concerned about the rankings, but would love to see her and Hunter shoot higher up due to their stellar play and all around talent.

Ana shot lights out on Sunday

Board members : with all message boards... be mindful that there will be individuals that come around with an Agenda . to discredit kids or other posters. Is the case on almost every message board like this. Jealousy reigns in sports community

I believe that is the case but others here would know with certainty.........for NCAA players/coaches I think the less said on social media the better.............when looking at a high school recruit's social media to get some clue as to their mindset, I can't tell you who is headed to UConn but I can get a pretty good indication about which players are not!!!!!!

Who said Williams is a UCONN lean?

That's my thought based on several things, first I believe she has already made an early visit to UConn on her own dime plusa look at her social media where UConn WBB stories start on the masthead (photo of 10 championship Trophies) and continue down the page.........that's more UConn info then on any other recruit's page that I have ever seen before signing..........notice I said lean, I didn't say lock!!! She still has a couple of years to go but she is clearly thinking quite seriously about the Huskies.............Would love to know what CoachBill has to say about Christyn and UConn.............

My bad........CW didn't go all the way to UConn: "

"Gordon doesn’t have any more visits planned, but said she certainly could make additional trips to Baylor, Texas or Texas Christian. She wasn’t originally planning to cut her list of schools this quickly, but once she returned home from visiting UConn and taking a trip to New York with her parents, younger sister and soon to be AAU teammate Christyn Williams, that was exactly what Gordon did"
