"Another thing that would enhance UK's Final Four chances would be getting away from UConn in the NCAA Tournament bracket. Given that Geno Auriemma's team is a habitual No. 1 seed, the one way Kentucky could ensure NOT seeing the Huskies before the national semifinals is to earn a top seed itself."

Another thing would be having some players who can make a jumpshot.

Still looking for improvement.

Kentucky vs Eckerd College (Div II school 14-12 last year)

Score at the half: Kentucky 33 Eckerd 15
Shooting: Kentucky 14-43 32.6%
3pt Shooting: Kentucky 1-14 7.1%

Eckard turned the ball over 21 times in the 1st half so one would think several of Kentucky's shots were lay-ups.

Lots of substitutions by Mitchell which may make it tough to find an offensive rhythm in the half-court.

There is a darn curious quote from one of their guards about how they are a lot more into it this year. Really strange. There is a lot of athleticism there, but.... I just have a hard time with a coach who wears half a tube of Brylcream on his hair and spends most of the game checking his tie.

.
May they reach their goal by embarrassing Tennessee every time the two teams meet this year. Then they should get a 1 seed for the NCAA's.

Final score: Kentucky 83 Eckerd 35

Kentucky stats

FG: 30-81 37%
3pt FG: 4-27 14.8%

Inauspicious start for the new offense.
