Change Ad ConsentDo not sell my dataLet's start the week on a cheery note -- songs about Death! (Maybe second only to Love as a song subject) | Page 7 | The Boneyard
Apparently The Pretty Reckless has quite a few death songs. This one is a tribute to their producer, who died in a motorcycle accident. It left singer Taylor Momsen really torn up.
Chris Cornell wrote this as a tribute to Andrew Wood. Sadly ironically Cornell also passed way too young. The grunge bands have been ravaged by early deaths.
This one is a traditional American song based on a true story. George Thoroughgood also did a good version. I performed it in one of my two paid ($7 for this one) gigs.
