Let’s take a violin out for the cartel

You can bet they are upset about a possible big east advantage and will plug this loop hole up quickly

From the article, South Carolina women's basketball is losing $5 million per year as it stands, so how can the AD justify investing more money into the program? If Dawn Staley wants more money for her program, figure out a way to increase attendance and sponsorship revenues or reduce her top salary of almost $5 million per year.

Revenue sharing is one piece of athlete compensation with NIL being the other. It is up to corporations/fans/boosters to support NIL for the various sports. If anybody thinks that SEC schools will only be spending $20.5 million per year to pay athletes, you don't understand what is going on.

Your point is valid. We could look at it this way.Let’s say a New York City kid can get 5 million in endorsements in New York. I’ll even say maybe he won’t get any booster money. St. John’s has 4 million in the budget giving him a total of 9 million.

South Carolina has a booster who will give him 5 million and he’ll get another million in endorsements. However South Carolina for men’s basketball can only budget 750,000.
