After watching it and seeing the pressure these kids are under (and the aftermath) I think even less of the jerk in Lubbock. Piece of crap indeed.

Just watched it. Sad, sad tale. The ending where the older Lenny is talking to they younger Lenny was heart breaking. The hanger ons and the posses move on and your left with nothing. He was a hell of a talent. I remember him but didn't realize he was that highly thought of, I remember Omar Cook of St. Johns fame, and Sebastian Telfair from that era as well but Cooke never played a minute in the NBA.

Jonathan Hargett was an unbelievable talent, it's sad what happened to him. Shea Cotton is another one, kid was a legend since freshman year in high school. Ronnie Fields was teammates with Garnett in Chicago and Fields was better at the time. he broke his neck falling asleep driving on the highway. There are a lot of amazing players who never made it.

Rashard Griffith was a seven footer out of Chicago I think. Went to wisconsin I think. Why didn't he make the pros? Next Shaq was how he was billed.

There's a trailer for a Schea Cotton documentary on youtube, doesn't seem like it ever got released tho. There's also a doc on Fields but I didn't want to cough up the dough to watch it online if it was trash.

Schea Cotton was unbelievable in high/prep school. I used to go and see him play at T-More and he was a man amongst boys. I'm still shocked he never became a huge star.

"…he's doing just fine"?? Anyone know how and where the kid is doing fine? UConn recruited Schea with little hope of getting him if I remember correctly, because he was so damn good!

Also the Lenny Cooke story, is that one of the 60 minute stories on Showtime…..I want to find that On Demand…...

We were in his final three... I believe he went to NC State originally and then ended up at Alabama. I think we backed off at some point b/c there was a lot of baggage there. But holy crap was he good in high school.
