We went to the 2011 FF and stayed in team hotel. That Kentucky game was pretty draining so the plan Sunday was to have a nice dinner and watch the women's FF game at the hotel. Apparently we weren't the only ones with that idea because the lobby was packed with UConn fans and right in the middle was Shabazz Napier and his mother. I loved that. It was a tough game for the good guys but they stayed through it all. My other memory is that this was a class joint but they pretty much ran out of beer by gametime. No matter, within a few minutes the class joint was selling Miller Lite cans out of ice filled garbage barrels. Reminded me of Franklin Avenue back in the day.
