Learning the Boneyard, Lesson #1: Private messaging

We have another long break until the next game, so I'm going to do a series on learning how to use the various Boneyard features. Today's lesson - using the personal messaging, also called PM, system.

First, you must be registered and logged in to use the PM.

There are two ways to contact a person via PM. For the first, click on that person's handle (their Boneyard name) on the left side of one of their posts. See the below for an example where I've highlighted JS's handle. To start a conversation, another name for a PM, I would click on that.

A pop up will come up, click on Start a Conversation as highlighted below.

On the next screen, you'll see something that looks like a Boneyard post. You can add names here, up to 5 total. I added Biff to the conversation.

When you're done typing your message, click on Start a Conversation.

The second way to start a conversation is to click on the Inbox, in the upper, right hand side of your screen. When you do that, you'll see an option to Start a Conversation.

If someone has sent you a PM, you'll get a red alert flag that tells you how many unread PMs you have in your Inbox. I have one unread conversation waiting.

If you have any questions, please respond to this thread. If you have a question, someone else probably does as well and it would be helpful for them to see the question and answer in one place.
