Lawn question: is it too late to put down grub control now

I saw a couple of grub spots and was going to put down some grub X but what I’m reading online is I should’ve done it last month or late spring early summer.

It should still kill them. A month ago you would have prevented damage from happening. Pretty normal to react rather than be proactive. I always put it down when I see damage or lots of scavenging birds in the yard poking around in the grass.
