I recognized most of the refs who worked the Paradise Jam games as familiar faces from previous seasons, but the one of the striped shirts who worked the Wake and Marist games was new to me. When I googled Lauren Holtkamp, I discovered that she is 32 and is one of two female refs who have been added to the NBA's roster this season, if only as a "guest" official. Apparently she has done FIBA, WNBA and D-League games in the past.
Does anyone know anything more about her? My wife and I thought she did a pretty good job, at least until she called a phantom foul on Stefanie in the Marist game. She was the ref who made the humorous jump ball call when ball got stuck between a player's legs near the out of bounds line.
