Lauren played more minutes against Stanford than she probably did in her entire career at UConn. Her stat line: 36 minutes, 3 for 6 FG, 4 of 5 FT, 3 assists, 2 steals 3 turnovers, 10 points. Glad to see Lauren's getting a chance to play.

It's certainly indicative of why she transferred (presuming that basketball was an important element in that move).

UCONN is a very tough place to play and some players do not want to get their nose dirty.......Good for Lauren.......Have fun at BC.....

In a related vein, Michala Johnson has a double double with time left against Drake. Hope she has a great year.

Really rooting for those 2. They left UCONN on great terms, had nothing but nice things to say about the coaches and program, and I totally wish them every success imaginable. IMHO schools like BCU and Wisconsin are both solid mid major programs (I know the schools are in power conferences, but the WHoops programs are the mid major level at best).

Goes to show you what kind of talent it takes to succeed at UCONN. Both kids are starters for their new teams and both scored in double figures, but both realized they'd never be more than role players at UCONN. Pretty amazing when you think of it that way...!

I'm really happy for Lauren. And it has nothing to do with "getting your nose dirty", whatever the hell that means. From everything I read she was a great teammate and good kid. Same with Michala.

I am pretty sure Lauren wants to play overseas after college. She wasnt going to get enough playtime at UConn for anyone to give her a contract, so she made the right move to get enough exposure. I wish her the best.

Bench players from UConn have received overseas contracts before. Kaili McLaren and Megan Gardler being just two examples.

When the team went to Italy a few years back, they actually stayed with some members of Lauren's family. Glad to hear she is still connected to the UCONN family. Way to go Lauren!

I'm especially delighted with Michala's progress; she was very highly ranked as a JR in HS
then 2 awful knee injuries and never really had a chance to be completely healthy.
You go show em, girl!

Once they lace them us for us, they are always part of the family to me. I wish them both well.
