Latest Bracketology has UConn as a 10 seed

Lunardi's a clown, this whole bracketology idea is a scam (he revises it every day so where's the expertise?) but, having said that, I like our chances with this bracket!

We've been a 10 or 11 seed for months. Not sure why we aren't a bit higher. I believe we were seeded as high as 9 before we got the Sanogo commitment. I expected to go up, not down.

Of course, this is all conjecture, but it's an indication of how we are perceived as a program.

He also has us listed as one of the last four byes along with Bobby Hurley and the Nose Picker!

We got Sanogo, and other schools got commitments from their guys...so relative rankings don’t bounce around much.

A 10 seed would put us as the ~40th best team in the country...I find that hard to believe. There is no way there are even 25 better rosters than we have this season

the difference between 30 and 40 could be quite small.

we don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt yet.

this was going to be a huge season to get UConn back to that level.

It'll be fascinating to see what happens with bids and seeding if everyone goes to an in conference only schedule. How do you objectively justify sending more teams from any conference over any other? And we know once the NCAA gets involved with subjective decisions it is better for certain schools/conferences over others.

Lundari has a sense of humor:
First round opponent = Rock fight in Detroit (Danny Boy vs the Leprechaun)

It’s not realistic to expect the national media to rank us super high.

We haven’t made the tournament since the Obama administration. Our best player graduated and we have tons of question marks across the roster. Just look at our starting lineup projection threads. Everyone has a different lineup prediction.

Good point Chuck... except that NOW we are back in a conference that DOES get the benefit of the doubt over one that definitely doesn't, overall this will be good for us.

Imagine how bummed we would be if still stuck in the AAC - even with something approaching this roster we would lose at least a couple of seed lines because of the subjectivity you correctly refer to. Now, it is not a problem for us any longer. Thank God... Let's just hope we are playing. That's all I want. To go "to war" with this roster, this coming year.
