Glad to see BYU in the top 25. I was confused as to why they weren't even getting many votes in the preseason poll...they might be better than Mizzou. VERY interesting to see Temple at #26...would love to see them crack the top 25. Maybe they can be our AAC rivals. Matakevich must be getting some serious consideration for the Butkus after his 2 INTs

BYU is absolutely the best team on our schedule. Hill's injury was tough but the kid they have in at QB might be better. Elite 11 QB out of high school and was heavily recruited by tons of top programs. The "issue"? He went to high school in Idaho, not FL, TX or CA. I've watched a fair amount of BYU's first 2 games and I think they are a legit top 10-15 team in the country. Very scary.

I know competition wasn't great, but G-Tech looks to have one of their better offenses. Tons of weapons running the ball.

... and Temple @ "#26" w/ next three games vs UMass, Charlotte (both away), then Tulane @ home.

Not that the coaches poll has any credibility whatsoever but Oregon still being ranked is laugh out loud funny.

Agreed they shouldn't be in the top 30 let alone top 20 but I'm OK with the rest. I really want to see a 2-2 Cincy drop Miami this week, Navy keep rolling and our boys finally get over the hump with a solid win against BYU on the road. Too bad Cincy has a short week to get ready but both teams had tough games this week and at least they're home.

Oregon is not a top 25 team. Their best game was a 3 pt loss to MSU (but I do think that was impressive for them). They have looked very pedestrian in their other 3, including meh wins over Eastern Washington (gave up 42 points) and Georgia State (gave up 28 points).

Forgot to highlight Navy. This ranking seems more accurate imo than the coaches too.

I didn't only because we already played them... Looked @ conference and who we still have to play. I'll put them in a different color ;)

Coaches poll is ridiculous and should be eliminated. The coaches have admitted they give it to assistants to fill out and they vote for other teams that make their team look good (conference mates and opponents).

Ah, just assumed you were highlighting conference foes and others we've played.
