Awful. Awful awful awful. Hurley will never be a complete coach until he learns how to close games out. We have the guys to do it this year. He simply doesn’t know what to run to close them out.

The first, second, and third talking points should be the refs, but the fourth and fifth should be late-game execution.

This team and coaching staff have zero clue how to manage leads late in games. Horrendous.

Hurley does a whole lot right. He is the right coach for us... He does not have high-major D1 coach in-game offensive coaching skills. Our play calls late in the game were putrid 2 games in a row. We dumped it to Sanogo over and over and over again with no movement. 0 shots for Polley.

He needs to put playcalling on Kimani or Luke's shoulders for the end of games or something. Have an "offensive coordinator" for the team.

Can’t blame the refs should have never came to that call. They get tight at end of games and continue to make mistakes
I’m really not a fan of this take.

Refs are paid to do a job. They’ll miss calls from time to time since they’re human, but they shouldn’t miss them that badly.

Two things can be true at once - UConn should have executed better and the refs stole that lead from them late.

If only we showed up to start the game, maybe things would be different too? Im no basketball expert, but It seems like our offense is becoming way too predictable. And, who knows what happens if Whaley was playing?

It's his identified biggest hurdle, and his record is mixed and improving, but yesterday and today could have been runaway >10 point victories.

Would have never made a difference if they executed, didn’t make mistakes, didn’t take those bad shots. They created the situation that led to that bad call being a game changer

Why isn’t Hawkins in? And then that’s the shot we take?
Poor personnel management by Hurley. Can’t believe that’s the last shot we get and can’t believe Hawkins didn’t play at the end. Polley wasn’t doing anything offensively, shouldn’t have gotten minutes over Hawkins.

Our starting lineup is completely ineffective. Need Polley or Hawkins out there at all times. Gaffney is never going to take the next step. Earth to Hurley!!!!!

I'm all for giving Hawkins minutes but he wasn't exactly playing great today either

Stole the lead, the possession, and put Cole on the bench. That's pretty much the trifecta of a ref stealing the game.
