Just played the 2010 final, what an ugly game that was! Maya really took over in the 2nd half, and interestingly (to me, at least) the team went on their run in the 2nd half after putting in a freshman Kelly Faris. She really settled them down and made some great plays on both ends.

I love last year's final because even though UConn wasn't there, Notre Dame lost And you gotta love Gary Blair.

There was nothing ugly about UConn's 2nd half performance in the 2010 title game. Not sure why so many of our own fans write off the entire game as awful, when UConn's 2nd half was magnificent, especially when we could have easily let the pressure get to us after the horible 1st half.

GB doing the Dougie was priceless. As much as I hate A&M, I can't really hate him or Sidney Colson. And Danielle Adams stepped up big in the biggest game in the program's history, something people didn't think she was capable of doing. No one can take that from her.

The 2010 final was bizarre. But it was appropriate that Maya Moore drove that championship home. A weird fact: in the 2008-09 season, Maya was the NPOY, but Tina really owned the tournament. Conversely, in 2010, they split NPOY honors with Tina winning the AP, but Maya went nuts in the tourney. I don't think Iowa State or Florida State will ever forget what she did to them in regionals.

I thought we played much better the 2nd half, but the game as a whole wasn't pretty...very little flow. I personally enjoy games where one team goes on a run, then the other team counters, and so forth. Nothing against UConn at all, Stanford plays very physically so it's tough to get in a rhythm.

I agree. I can't stand A&M in anything but I loved their WCBB team last season. Partly because Maryann Baker went to my alma mater, and a bunch of us went to see the regionals between them and Baylor which was AWESOME, and partly because GB is such a class act and did a lot for girl's high school bball here in Dallas.

It's the only time I will ever cheer for A&M in anything, though.
