Sun lead best of 5 series 2-1

I voted for Aces because, being selfish, I want a 5-game series. I think the Sun are the better team at the moment. :D

Hamby being out certainly isn't going to help the Aces chances.

A. Thomas and McCoughtry getting a bit testy early on. Alyssa is the LAST person in the world who should be complaining about physical play, come on now.

New drinking game...take a shot every time a Sun player yells "And 1." I don't think anybody could make it thru a game without getting totally sloshed.

If she clamps her arm and yanks Alyssa's shoulder, I'd be pissed to

This one is shaping up to be a great game. Wilson very sharp to begin.

24-22 Sun thru Q1. Both teams playing well.

McCoughtry seems a bit more aggressive today. McBride and Young not getting it done...again. Wilson can't do it all by herself, but her teammates seem incapable of stepping up this series. Sun starting to pull away in Q2.

Sun was up 7, Aces got back in it. 38-37 Sun at the half.

Kelsey Plum will be in the studio for the halftime report.

edit--not in the studio but face timing or whatever

10 pts/12 reb for Bonner, 9 for J. Thomas, 7 for January.

12 for Wilson, 10 for McCoughtry, 8 for D. Rob. J. Young is scoreless and McBride is 2-6 from the floor, but most importantly is 0-3 behind the arc. Would help the Aces a lot if she could knock down open 3's, but she's not doing it so far.

Booner is great, 10 pts 12 reb. But every time I see her play I am worrying someone will break her arms....lol

McCoughtry starting to take over, 6 points early in Q3 and Aces up 5.

Angel has 12 points in 4 1/2 minutes this quarter. This is what the Aces have been waiting for, someone in addition to Wilson bringing it. Lead is up to 9. Jones just picked up her 4th foul.

28-16 in Q3, and Wilson didn't score a single point. Not what you would expect. Mostly Angel of course, but D Rob got going too. J. Thomas was about the only Sun player scoring. Aces really turned up their defensive intensity.

A Thomas just got the mother of all bail out calls. Ridiculous.

Sun--3 possessions, 3 trips to the line for Thomas. Fairly questionable on some of them.

You know the Wubble is a tight knit crew when the floor mopper helps a player up from the floor after a layup.

How was that not a foul on J. Thomas? Clobbered D. Rob on the baseline after trying to challenge a breakaway.

29 for McCoughtry (16 in Q3), 18 each for D Rob and Wilson, 13 rebounds for A'ja.

25 for J. Thomas, 15 pts/8 reb for A. Thomas. Bonner completely disappeared in the 2nd half. Finished w/ 10 pts/15 rebs, all of that except 3 reb was in first half.

Bonner makes more bad decisions than normal for a player with her experience, imo.
