University of Hawaii offered a scholarship to a kid who plays on two teams (and only lost 1 game). He is 8. Will Lane K offer a scholarship to a fetus soon?:rolleyes:

What's ridiculous is not that he offered a kid so young, it's how worthless the offer really is. There is NO way Kiffin will be at FAU in four years, let alone 8. He will either crash and burn and get fired or knock it out of the park and leave the team mid season in year 2 or 3. I don't see a path where Kiffin does well enough to keep his job AND stays put for more than 3 years.

I actually think Kiffin is going to do well, which means he will be gone pretty quickly.

No, what's ridiculous is anyone offering a kid a scholarship when the offer is meaningless.

I do wonder whether the kid could hold him to the offer if it turns out he's a dud.

That's one reason why it's so stupid. Letting everyone know you've struck gold before you can make a binding claim, is just plain stupid.
 
The most disgusting part about this is that Kiffen is fully confident he will be well beyond the school who's scholarship was just offered once the kid is of recruiting age.
 
I wasn't the only one to open this thread with a bit of trepidation.

Really wanted to make sure this was about a football player.
 
I clicked here half thinking he might have drunkenly hit on a 9yo while guest judging some sort of pre-teen pageant in Boca.

Mods should change the title of this thread to "Lane Kiffin is a 9 year old". You have to give him credit, though, for finally realizing he should focus on recruiting kids with the exact same mentality level that he has.
