At tip off they announce a sellout of 21,600ish.

Place sounded like a morgue and a library had a love child.

Was there a single Nova chant from the crowd all game?

I don't remember once crowd all on their feet.

I can't remember an easier crowd at Villanova. Reminiscent of AAC with games at Tulane or USF.

Maybe an announced sell out but there were a good few thousand empty seats

Hard to get into the game as the home crowd when ur getting smoked.

I mean, if there was a gathering for the death of the jay wright era and the birth of the kyle neptune era, then a morgue is a perfect description.

Nova was up 19-17 halfway through first half. Even those first 10 minutes crowd was dead.

Neptune became a better coach when Moore came back and Nova was fully healthy. Lol.

His lack of recruiting will kill him.

We extinguished the crowd

We never let Nova get close enough 2nd half for the crowd to ever get into it. Stellar defensive job by UConn tonight. That and the fact that Nova bricked most of their 3s.
UConn made them brick their 3s by contesting them. This is the best defensive game I have seen UConn play all year. And they didn't let Nova guards deliberately back down our guards in the post as they helped out and recovered on 3 pt shooters.

I didn’t see most of the first half so I can’t comment on the crowd but it’s been a tough year for them. I would have thought they had better fans than that though but I guess not??

UConn had a lot to do with that. The crowd was pumped and knew a win would do a lot to help Nova's chances of making it to the NCAAT

Obviously UConn D had a lot to do with it. They cud even really make a run. Absolutely nothing for the crowd to be hopeful of all night. Great powerful win.

The chant was awesome. Perhaps Villanova should have tried the $2 beer to loosing up the crowd. Felt like a neutral court and I think I saw fans leaving around 2:30 remaining and the game wasn’t decided yet.

Ineptune didn’t really adjust at all and played the same O game all the way through. The guy will be there 2 more seasons at best before he is run out on a rail.

Lots of Nova fans ducking to the exits with about 4 to go as well. Must be afraid of traffic or it was getting late.

It was weird seeing seeing Nova miss FTs, turn the ball over, and brick 3s. They try to plug Daniels into the Gillespie bully ball crab dribble role and they don’t have the shooters around to support. Whitmore reminds me of a dude Penny would have had who couldn’t give two poops about college ball. Dixon is exposed not surrounded by 4 shooters. Moore is good but not good enough to carry everyone. Not a good team.

Earlier in the day Donnie Marshall was talking UConn/BET and crowds and straight up said MSG is more of a home court for UConn than XL.

Closer to Fairfield County I suppose :).

With great drinking and eating options, for a game that is

MSG is not about the kids :), it's about the experience

PS: Donny is also being an idiot, has been all year, I suppose he relishes that roll
