Lamb isn't going to get a lot of press for today's game because he didn't shoot the ball great, but I thought he played very well - had 3 rebounds, 7 assists (career high?), 1 steal, and just a turnover to go along with his 6 points. I thought this was his best all-around performance of the season.

The biggest positive from today's game - aside from blowing out a semi-decent team on the road - was the UConn's balance. All eight guys that played today scored, and five guys had between 7-16 points.

Basically, everyone that played contributed. That was great to see with Boatright out.

I agree. Lambs performance didnt bother me at all. If anything it was a good sign big picture. Lamb wont have many more poor shooting games like this and it shows the team can pick it up if hes having a bad game.

Thats kinda crazy, this was not even close to his best all around game this year. He is a scorer and didn't do that today but it is encouraging seeing him contribute in other ways.

His one turnover was also a charge, which was a bad call. He jumped to the side, and Martin flopped backwards. Bad job by Cahill falling for it.

Loved what he did passing wise(it resembled what he was doing towards the end of the year last year) but he's had better overall games this year, starting with the WVU game where not only did he shoot well but he played his best D and hit the boards as well as he's done all year. When he's having these kind of shooting nights I wish he would try to revive the floater that we're seeing less and less of. It seems when he comes off a screen inside the 3 point line and a defender is there he immediately pulls it back out, where as last year he would continue on with a dribble or two and extend for that floater.

Yeah, I really didn't mean this was his best game this year - my point was more that I thought did a lot of different things well today, which we haven't seen as much this season.

But you guys are right that he's had better all-around games.

In some ways you could say it was his best game considering Boat was out. Lamb had just one turnover, made a lot assists and spelled SN some of the ballhandling duty. When NG, AO, and RS are contributing points, Lamb can play as he did, which contributed to a more balanced, team oriented offense.

This was a classic "when your shot is not falling, do other things to help your team win" game for JL. I'm sure JC will point to that very thing to motivate his team to never stop playing their brains out and look to do whatever is needed to win.
