Not bad for my lakers, they also picked up the pg from mizzou clarkson.

Just amazing though this luck that roscoe smith has, allthough it was his fault to leave...

How did Kane not get drafted after all the Tourny hype?

This draft was very very deep. If there were three rounds these guys would have been drafted. 60 players in the entire world get drafted each year out of the millions who start bouncing balls in their driveways every year.

Your right but c'mon man. In April he was a draft pick.

I have to believe all those foreign players who were selected ruined it for Kane and Kilpatrick. Both of whom I think will be picked up on the cheap by some NBA teams. They both have a good resume.

Nowadays it sucks to be in your 20s, seasoned, talented and be overlooked for 18-19 year old kids. Hell, they were calling Bazz old, and he doesn't even have a mustache.

Exactly. There will be more "sleeper signings " and "steals" because of it, but there will also be more proven guys losing early money because of it.

I think the same issue with Kilpatrick. Teams are wary of a guy already in his mid 20s.

Kane is already 25. To put that into perspective, that's 5 years older than Andre Drummond. He is who he is right now, and that's a replacement-level NBA player.

I love watching me some Summer League. Familiar faces playing some ball when the only other sport going on is baseball.

It's a really underrated event. It's almost like an all-star tournament of college kids from the last 3-5 years, and a lot of them are playing for their jobs. When there are a lot of UConn guys involved (Napier, DeAndre, Giffey, Lamb), even better.

Another issue with the NBA draft is all the teams taking euros that will either be here in a year or 2, or will never get to the league. So many never do.

The way the salary cap is structured, 1st round draft picks are a nuisance to about 1/6th of the teams. The way the rookie cap is kept so low, draft picks should be "in addition to" the cap. This would not only make the draft better, but would also make the league better as a whole. Teams would actually be able to improve their rosters, instead of throwing away possible upgrades to stay away from the luxury tax.
