The year our oldest was in 5th grade, my wife and I vacationed in Costa Rica and had an encounter with a sloth. Our kiddo was real excited about this and her major science project later in the year was on them.I'm glad to see Morgan and/or Kayleigh with a stuffed sloth. My daughter has a few of those, plus numerous tee-shirts.
We went to the Sloth Sanctuary and the Jaguar Rescue in Costa Rica. We were told that if there was a traffic backup, it was a sloth crossing the road. Sure enough, an hour after that, while waiting for drinks, there was a backup and wife and daughter ran to see, and there was a sloth crossing the street. The year our oldest was in 5th grade, my wife and I vacationed in Costa Rica and had an encounter with a sloth. She nailed the project and 30 years later remembers it fondly. And sloths remain one of my favorite wildlife critters.
