Well one was brought in specifically to upgrade the offense and I didn't see any positive signs. (I actually think a lot of that rest on the substitution pattern - no continuity when you are rotating 10 players in and out of the lineup all the time.)

If anything, it is that it is 2 of them that looks bad. OTH, Jeff House is primarily a WNBA man, and may not bring the skill set Mitchell needs (you note he was a late hire with a 1 year contract to replace Matt Insell). Pillow, OTH, may just not have worked out. It isn't uncommon.

If he "blamed" them, it would be worse, but the article specifically includes his quote taking responsibility.
