Kutztown State loses to Fordham in Exhibition Game 79-48 on 11/3/2022

Do we know if Fordham is any good?
I'm a '79 Fordham grad and our women's team was really good a couple of my years there. Nationally ranked, even.
The only highlight of the men's season was the Notre Dame game when we could boo Digger Phelps for abandoning us for greener (literally) pastures. Although he did get the last laugh, as Notre Dame fans far outnumbered Fordham fans at the Garden.

Tommy Penders also coached at Fordam 1978-1986. From WIKI

After Columbia, Penders moved to Fordham University where he remained for eight years and compiled a 125–114 record. In 1980–81, Penders was named the New York Metropolitan Area Coach of the Year after leading Fordham to a 19–9 record.[2] On January 26, 2013, Penders was inducted into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame.

She was fired on very short notice. Reports from some of her former players, such as this one, likely give some reasons:

Wow! Assuming that is all true (or even part of it) which of course there is no reason to doubt, one can only hope that coach never coaches again! It always amazes me when I hear about these abusive, vindictive, power mad authority figures who are in charge of young people! How do they get away with this sort of thing? I hope and pray this young lady has managed to put this terrible experience behind her and is living a happy and fulfilled life.

I hope we can get some chat-room chat from folks in the building...let us know who looks good...and some
Dixville Notch impressions of the team. And....keep an eye out for anyone who looks 'interesting' behind the bench...hopefully there might be a couple of underclass kids who might be future Huskies.
