UConn putting on the full court press tonight. Glenn Miller with Kevin Ollie and Andre Drummond behind the Northwest bench. Iverson hit his first 2 threes within 2 minutes in front of Miller and us. His stroke is smooth for a Junior as both these shots were pure net (many more to come later). Two steals led to thunderous dunks and a kool Aid smile to match.

Iverson is a straight up baller with huge upside. Northwest plays DeMatha this weekend in Springfield.

There have been questions about his work ethic and his ranking dropped over the summer but count me in on really wanting Kuran in a Husky uniform. The kid is a serious talent and he is local, in our demanding program he has a chance to be special.

Villanova ? Why there when you can play in your own backyard on one of the best programs in the country.

Maybe he's Catholic or likes the Catholic school environment? Northwest Catholic, Villanova=Catholic university.

no way nova. they are in it but no way will they land a big wing like kuran. guys kurans size end up playing center there. at a uconn/cuse etc they play wing like they want/should be. he will end up picking between cuse/uk/lville/uconn inho. it will be somewhat important for us to win that recruit battle and defend the home turf. the squid has been up to ct several times in the past year and had quite a road trip of visits. he has visited kuran atleast twice in the past year. i think in the end uk over lville and uconn over cuse and its either stay home or venture out...

UConn made a great impression last night. Andre represents the university well. He is a classy kid. His lean as temporary as it might be towards Nova does not have to do with the other posters mentioning of a catholic school (Villanova) as the primary reason. I was with someone last night who is a credible source who told me. There is plenty of time for a reversal in his thought process. If he grows 2 more inches and works hard his game and physical stature would remind me of Perry Jones III (Baylor). They have a simalar court demeanor and game. We all know what the critics of Perry Jones articulate. The talent however is obviously there.
