Kung Hustle

With 90% of the movies I watch, I feel confident that I could be a screenwriter. Then I watch something like this. Genius.

I realized my review was not descriptive. Kung Hustle is on Starz this month, and I strongly recommend watching it if you have not seen it already. It has pretty much everything an action movie should have: tremendous fight sequences, hilarious moments, credible but surprising plot twists, and a love interest that augments the movie rather than screws it up.

Think Jackie Chan, but 10x more clever and less slapstick. It is in part a satire of other kung movies while still being respectful and not going for cheap laughs.

You must have seen Shaolin Soccer as well, almost as good. I'll tell you I rather see Kung Hustle than American Hustle. That movie is this close to getting a thumbs down. Some good parts, but what a drag the middle third (or more) is. And how the hell does Bradley Cooper get an Oscar nom? Everyone else in the flick blows him off the screen.
