If I remember correctly Marcus sat out the 2nd semester due to grades so he wasn’t really memorable on that team.

Amazing that they were a 2-seed. Okafor's injury and a mid-season slump from Gordon, plus a very top-heavy field that year (both St. Joe's and Stanford had one loss each).

Was not arguably the best UConn team - it was the best UConn team.

Gordon's broken nose was the main reason for that slump. Also, Charlie missed a few games at the start of the season. The team never really had a chance to hit its stride until March. At least they had good timing!
