KO's best leverage in the UConn negotiations is while the Lakers have an opening - since they have deep pockets and is KO's hometown. Therefore, look for things to wrap up sooner rather than later. Warde is under pressure to wrap up as well. I think we will have a good outcome soon.

With his track record this isn't good.
Hey those hamsters that run wild in his skull are well-connected and informed rodents. They know things and tell him so...

KO has done more in his 2 years as coach than I thought remotely possible. On the court, the record and trophy speak for themselves. Since returning, he has shown a love for the school and a commitment to excellence. But his school needs him now, maybe more than ever. We are on the outside looking in and we need every administrator and coach focused on securing a place for us at the big table. We need to keep our eye on the prize. I'm all for leverage, but UConn needs KO to put this rumor to bed and demonstrate his commitment to the school. We are in an incredibly tenuous spot and this is no time for KO to exert leverage. His silence is feeding those who want UConn to go back to the Yankee Conference. I hope we hear from him soon.
