Yeah but he meant he was a lock for us.This is not true. He said it's 50/50 us and UK.

Portal players cost more than high school recruits. A roster of all portals is a bad business model. All the transfers makes me wonder if some schools will just simply skip recruiting HS kids and just put together rosters of 100 percent transfers...then no need to develop or make promises they can't keep to kids.
Just speak in code. Aiden and Koby announcing simultaneously!?Brea will be a Husky by the end of the weekend.
^Straight from Trilly in his discord. I don’t want to post screenshots anymore because I’ll risk being banned but I am posting them on Storrs Central because it’s behind the paywall. Someone else can post it here if they want to but I’m already on thin ice there from “trolling” Kentucky fans lmao
Oh and there’s an extra surprise in there too from Trilly. Hurley is going for the kill shot.
I don't know why people are doubting this. That's what it would take for him to even consider playing for Duke. I heard he's actually paying his own way at UConn.lol @ Duke fans on twitter saying he asked for $1.8M, why are hardcore college sports fans so deranged?

Understood - but some schools have unlimited budgets so it won't be an issue for them.Portal players cost more than high school recruits. A roster of all portals is a bad business model.
Def trending that wayFlagg could end up being the last recruit we lose to Duke for a long time.
Rather Shulga over mahaney anywaysWell, I’d look at having Shulga in for a visit next week if Mahaney drags his feet.
Right now, Hurley figured out the right formula before anyone else. Recruit high caliber HS recruits like Sanogo, Andre Jackson, Clingan, Karaban, Hawkins, Castle as your core. Supplement through the portal for complimentary players like Joey California and high impact plug and play guys like Newton and Spencer. NIL and the Portal have been immediate disruptors to the college game. We were fortunate enough to have a headcoach that was both experienced and young enough to embrace this. It literally chased legends like Jay Wright, K, and Roy Williams into retirement. I don't think older coaches wanted to deal with this huge shift in the game.Understood - but some schools have unlimited budgets so it won't be an issue for them.

For context, Karaban is only unranked because he joined midseason. Most services had him 65-75 range before that.Uconn Men's players of last 3 seasons ranked by Recruiting Services Consensus Index (RSCI) Rankings -

I mean…I don’t think it’s a hot take that Bronny is probably a better overall basketball player than Brea.Koby Brea, Dayton Flyers, Shooting Guard
Crystal Ball to the good guys. May I note Bronny James is slated ahead of Brea in the Top SG in the transfer portal. LOLOL
Karaban being unranked doesn’t make sense. He was pretty consistently top 75 or so.Uconn Men's players of last 3 seasons ranked by Recruiting Services Consensus Index (RSCI) Rankings -

Ok, he wasn't to be found on the mid-season list either, but thanks for the context. I recall him ranked I'm the high 40's by 247.For context, Karaban is only unranked because he joined midseason. Most services had him 65-75 range before that.

That’s because his plan was foiled by those Brady bunchI have no recollection of this guy playing in college
8.3 pts, 2.4 reb, 1 assist. Not much to rememberI have no recollection of this guy playing in college
Especially as college standout. Even if he doesn't have the measurables the NBA loves in the college game he is a killer.Don't forget Karaban is only unrated because he enrolled early. He was around 80 IIRC. Possibly our most imporant recruit was one of the lowest rated.
He was criminally undervalued in HS and AAU. IQ and shooting are off the charts. Just because he can't touch his head to the rim doesn't mean he isn't a talent.
Kentucky during same 3 year period--and I'm done.So does Calipari
