I have a very strong belief that Dan Hurley would not misleasd anyone. All players currently on our roster and all who may join before the beginning of next year will have had everything presented to them candidly.

I also believe that this staff won't start adding players just for the sake of having as many top level players as possible. I believe that every addition will be deliberate and the potential ramifications of each addition will be considered thoroughly. While many of us appear to be set on adding both McNeeley and Brea, my guess is that the staff won't begin their play for Brea until after the McNeeley recruitment resolves itself (in either direction) and then, they will look at how it will impact the entire roster before making their pitch.

Hopefully Liam commits first but getting all 3 + Karaban returning + Diarra returning=UConn having as good a chance to win #7 as Providence does landing any recruit.

There are certified agents who if retained allow you to maintain eligibility through the process.

Exactly. If the staff believes in Solo and Stewart, there’s no need to bring in both Mahaney and Brea. I’m all for bringing in as much talent as possible but since we’re a program built on culture, we can’t just recruit over everyone. We’ll be going 9 deep at most…how do you keep a rotation of Diarra, Nowell, Ball, Mahaney, Brea, Stewart, McNeeley, Karaban, Johnson, and Reed all happy?

Karaban had an agent before the season was over. Hurley joked late in the season about how Castle's parents don't call him to complain about anything and his agent hadn't either. And then he laughed and said he didn't even know who Castle's agent is. So I guess it's very popular to have an agent these days while they're still playing.
